Japan Defeated Mexico To Advance To The World Baseball Classic Championship.

Japan defeated Mexico 6-5 on Monday, advancing to the World Baseball Classic championship against the United States.

Munetaka Murakami drove in two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning as Japan rallied from a 5-4 deficit to advance to Tuesday’s championship against the United States in Miami.

Japan is vying for an unprecedented third World Baseball Classic title, having previously won the tournament in 2006 and 2009.
